MEXICO – The Mexico Snowmobile Club will hold its final seasonal meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the Mexico Town Hall.

Festival benefit

RUMFORD – On Saturday, April 10, a comedy troupe will perform to benefit the Moontide Water Festival and its fireworks program. The Wright Brothers Two is a modern American comedy troupe with a style reminiscent of classic comedians like the Marx Brothers, Chaplin, Marceau, and the Three Stooges.

The Moontide Water Festival committee has sandwiched the comedy troupe between dinner and karaoke. Karaoke will be held on the club side of the Eagles Hall on Rumford Avenue. Prices are $10 per person, $15 per couple. Tickets may be purchased at Port to Port and Dr. Robert’s Chiropractic on Exchange Street.

Memory talk

MEXICO – Region 9 Learning Center is offering a class on Keeping Our Minds Sharp As We Age from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 20. The Maine Alzheimer’s Association will provide tips for keeping minds sharp and explain when memory loss may deserve medical attention. Those who can not attend may call the Alzheimer’s Association toll free help-line at 1-800-660-2871. The instructor is Dr. Lucie Arbuthnot. A minimum of five registrations are necessary to run this class. Registration deadline is Tuesday, May 18. To register phone 364-2012.
