NORWAY – Bridgton singer-songwriter Bill Shimamura will perform Friday, March 26, at the Norway Coffeehouse Open Mic Night at the First Universalist Church.

Sign-up for performers begins at 6:30, and the open mike begins around 7 p.m. Performers of all ages are encouraged to bring and share their acoustic musical instruments, original music and poetry in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Now in its third year, the monthly open mike nights, hosted by Maine performer and recording artist Heather Pierson, have raised hundreds of dollars to date for local nonprofit and charitable agencies.

“Everyone is welcome here,” says Pierson, “especially those who want to just come and listen. Participation is not required.”

Admission is $10 at the door. FMI: call (207) 935-4505 or e-mail [email protected]
