WEST PARIS – Hilda Mary Bray, 97 of West Paris, died March 27, after a long illness.

She was born in Paris on Sept. 5, 1906, the daughter of Mark and Kaisa (Holappa) Harta and was educated in local schools and graduated from Paris High School in 1925.

She had worked at local shoe shops for over 25 years retiring in 1973. She married William H. Bray on July 3, 1926; he died Feb. 23, 1976.

Hilda is survived by one nephew, Wayne Chapman, and his wife, Julie, of Attleboro Falls, Mass.; one great niece, Jenifer Carline, of Attleboro, Mass.; one great nephew, Michael Chapman of Worcester, Mass.; and one great great niece Jill Carline of Attleboro, Mass.
