1925 – 2004

FARMINGTON – Marion A. Marquis, 79, of Farmington, formerly of Quebec St. died Monday morning, March 29, at her home at Farmington Court.

She was born in West Farmington Jan. 29, 1925, the daughter of Oren F. and Ida M. (Goings) Nile. She attended Farmington, and West Farmington schools. She married Robert G. Marquis in 1946, he passed in 1966.

She worked as a waitress in Farmington in local restaraunts, also for four years at J.J. Newberry’s, and for 17 years at Knowlton & McLeary Printing retiring in 1992. She was a communicate of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, sketch drawing, going visiting, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include six daughters, Donna Blodgett and her husband Allen of Weld, Maria McIntire and her husband Evan of Weld, Theresa Lovell and her husband Lloyd of Farmington, Elissa Salvini and her husband Alan of Waterbury, Conn., Rhonda Marquis of Mt. Vernon, Joanna Pinkham and husband Rick of Phillips; three sons, Robert Marquis and his wife Deborah of Old Saybrook, Conn., Chris Marquis and fiance Lisa of Chesterville, Greg Marquis and his fiance Johanna of Chesterville; a foster daughter, Mary Noonan of Boston; 18 grandchildren, Melissa, Christine, April, Thomas, Troy, Terri, Christopher, Jason, Heidi, Zach, Sam, Caitlin, Molly, Danielle, Krysta, Nicholas, William, and Cheri; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 20 years; brothers, Robert Bean and Richard Bean; and a sister, Clarice Jellison.
