AUBURN – The first Androscoggin County Community Job Fair will be held on the campus of Central Maine Community College on Thursday, April 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. and Friday, April 9, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. There is no charge, and all job seekers are welcome.
Representatives of more than 30 area employers will be on hand to describe current job openings and to conduct interviews with potential employees.
“This is an opportunity to make crucial connections that could well result in landing a new job immediately or in the near future,” according to Chip Morrison, president of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce. “Job seekers are encouraged to come to the job fair with up-to-date resumes, ready to be considered for employment on the spot.”
Employers with openings in health, finance and insurance, manufacturing and industrial trades, information technology, social services, and retail will be looking for potential workers in a variety of settings, including both business and nonprofit. Information about professional, management, entry-level, part-time, summer/seasonal and temporary/temp-to-hire positions will also be available.
For more information, people can contact the Chamber at 783-2249.
