1950 – 2004

LEWISTON – Richard Caron, 53, of 574 Sabattus St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, March 30, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, following a long battle with Crohn’s Disease.

Born in Lewiston on Oct. 7, 1950, he was the son of Ulysses and Fernande Nadeau Caron. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of ’69. He was a hard worker, and was employed by the Lewiston School Department for several years and worked part-time for the Lewiston Recreation Department.

He loved sports, and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was tremendously loved by his family and friends, and will be sadly missed by his life partner of 34 years, Terrance Smith of Lewiston.

Survivors include three brothers, Gerald and wife Claudette of Lewiston, Frankie and wife Nancy of Auburn, and David and wife Tammy of Lewiston; a sister, Jackie and husband Mac McKenzie of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dalton and Nelson; and three sisters, Marianne Nava, Diane Caron, and Joanne Laliberte.
