LEESBURG, Fla. – Emerilda “Amy” C. Picard, 83, of Leesburg, Fla., passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 29. She moved to Florida, from Waterville in 1991.

She was born in Lewiston. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Lake County Quilters Guild, and a member of the Volunteer Auxiliary Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a 60 plus years member of the Daughters of Isabella, and was an election poll worker.

Mrs. Picard is survived by three daughters and their families, Gayle P. Ropp and her husband, Paul of Fairfax, Va., and their children, Christopher and Elizabeth, Janet T. White and her husband, John of Waterville, and their daughters, Darla and Kristen, and Julia M. Anderson and her husband, Kevin of Durham, and their children, Margaret and David; and two sisters, Marietta Bikulcius of Lewiston, Henrietta Dascanio of Portland.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence R. Picard.
