PARIS – Dr. Art Judge of King’s Chapel in Boston will be the Palm Sunday speaker on April 4 at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St.
The service will begin at 10 a.m. and the sermon topic will be “Passover and the Passion.” The organ voluntaries will begin at 9:45. Special music appropriate to the day will be under the direction of Forest Perkins, church organist.
The Sunday school will be in session and child care is provided. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Easter services
OTISFIELD – The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road, announces the following activities for the celebration of Easter:
Maundy Thursday service, 7 p.m., April 8, a service of communion and darkness.
Easter sunrise service, 6 a.m., April 11, at the home of Joe and Callie Zilinsky on the Stonehirst Road.
Easter worship service, 10 a.m., April 11, in the church sanctuary.
The church will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 10, to receive flowers in honor of loved ones. Dorothy Lombard, chairwoman of the flower committee, and volunteers will arrange the flowers in the church.

Easter week
NORTH WATERFORD – The Rev. George Frobig has announced the Easter week worship schedule for Oxford County United Parish, which will begin with Palm Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. April 4 at the North Waterford Congregational Church, 5 Kezar Road. The Rev. Diane Wood of Mexico will preach on Palm Sunday, and her husband, Rich Wood, will share his music during the service.
A Maundy Thursday service will begin at 6 p.m. April 8 at the North Waterford church vestry. The service will include a simple supper and Holy Communion. The youth group will participate in acting out the Tenebre service.
Frobig will be at the church from noon to 7 p.m. Good Friday, April 9, with a brief devotion starting each hour.
The Easter Sunday sunrise service will begin at 5:50 a.m. April 11 at the town beach on Keoka Lake. The service will be jointly led by Frobig and the Rev. Anita White of the Waterford Congregational Church. Easter breakfast will be served at the North Waterford church vestry after the service.
Frobig invites all members and friends to attend Easter Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. at the North Waterford church. Sunday school will not be in session that day.
Regular Sunday worship services will be held at 10 a.m. at the North Waterford church through April. Sunday School meets at 9:30 a.m. Services will be held at the Stoneham Congregational Church beginning the first Sunday in May.
