AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer Advanced QuickBooks starting Tuesday, April 6.

The class will be in the computer lab using QuickBooks 2003 software. It will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday through May 4.

The cost is $195 and includes the QuickBooks 2003 workbook. Participants should have working knowledge of QuickBooks.

The advanced course details how to use QuickBooks accounting software through the complete accounting cycle. Attendees go beyond how to set up a QuickBooks Company and learn how to perform transactions.

The course includes creating reports and collection letters, customizing forms, tracking and paying sales tax, on-line banking, and estimating and job costing as well as tracking inventory, assets and credit card transactions.

The class will be taught by Ken O’Brien. He owns a computer consulting company in Woolwich and specializes in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Web Design.
