A look at giving

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Grant Network will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, at the Growth Council of Oxford Hills office on Main Street to talk about philanthropy in Oxford Hills. Tanya Swayne of the Maine Community Foundation will be the guest speaker. The council is looking at what other rural communities are doing to increase charitable giving to local organizations and exploring ways it can partner with the foundation. The public is invited to attend. Those interested in attending are asked to phone the council at 743-8830 so enough materials will be available.

A Saturday hunt

NORWAY – There will be an Easter egg hunt from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center, 29 Marion Ave., for children ages 10 and younger. Children need to bring their own baskets. For more information, phone Georgia at 743-7075.
