JAY – The first in a series of monthly luncheons and dinners will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at LaFleur’s Restaurant, known as Western Mountain Women’s Connection and Western Mountain After 5 Club.
The meals are sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries, an international organization, having no membership or dues, with approximately 1,500 established groups in the United States and Canada and about 80 in foreign countries. These are inter-church and all women of the area are invited to attend.
Spring fashion shows will be featured at both these events from Butterfly McQueen’s Boutique in Farmington.
Guest speaker and soloist, Dr. Georgia Basko, of Lebanon, will relate how she coped with “Choices, Changes and Challenges.” Her 200-year-old Cape Cod style home was featured several years ago in the Country Living Magazine.
Reservations for the luncheon and complimentary nursery are essential and may be made by calling Betsey at 562-8395 or Johnnie at 897-4556.
Reservations for the dinner are essential (no child care provided) and may be made by calling Ada at 778-4217 or Helen at 645-9650. Cost for the luncheon and dinner are $11, inclusive of tax and gratuity.
Bonnilee Ashley, national representative for Stonecroft Ministries from Kansas City is working in the area to organize these new groups. She invites all area women to attend and bring friends for these new beginnings.
