GRAY – The Gray Region Citizen Corps will offer a training session on “Disaster Activities I” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, at Stimson Hall.

Residents living or working in the region from Yarmouth to Casco are encouraged to attend.

The classroom training is being held in cooperation with the American Red Cross. The corps is organizing to help during times of town-wide emergencies. Topics of past seminars have included pet first aid, chain saw safety and dealing with epidemics.

Those unable to attend the meeting but wishing to help, you may leave your name and telephone number with Gray Public Safety at 657-3931.

The remainder of the year’s seminar series will be as follows: May, Disaster Activities II; June, Bicycle Safety; July, Cooking without Electricity; August, Home Fire Extinguisher Practice; September, ATV Safety; October, Gun Safety; November, Snowmobile Safety; and December, Shelter Operations.
