An incorrect version of a recipe was printed in the Cook of the Week package Wednesday, March 31. The correct recipe follows:
Chewy Hermit Brownies
1 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup molasses
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 cup dried cranberries
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine shortening, sugar, egg and molasses. Beat for 30 seconds, add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pat batter into a greased 11-by-17 jelly roll pan, bake for 15 minutes.
