PARIS – The First Congregational Church invites people to the following Easter week activities:
Maundy Thursday, 5:30 p.m., fish chowder supper in the vestry followed by service and communion.
Good Friday walk at 1 p.m. with area churches begins at Norway U.U., Main Street.
Easter Sunday, April 11, sunrise service at 6 a.m., Brimstone Corner on East Oxford Road followed by breakfast at the church. Worship service at 10 a.m.

Bean supper
HARRISON – A public supper will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Hall, Route 35. The menu features baked beans, casseroles, rolls, salads, pies and beverages. Adults $6; children ages 12 and under, $3. Sponsored by Ronald G. St. John V.F.W. Post Ladies Auxiliary.
Easter services
PARIS – The First Baptist Church of Paris will begin its Easter service schedule with a Easter Sunrise Service 7 a.m. at the church at the top of Paris Hill. A coffee fellowship will follow. Children’s and adult Sunday School will be held at 9:30 a.m.; Easter worship service at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
Homemakers meeting
OXFORD – The Oxford Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Staples Legion Hall, Route 121. Guests and new members are welcome. Bring a sandwich. Coffee and dessert will be furnished. FMI call Jan at 998-5205.
Italian supper
PARIS – An Italian-style public supper will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the culinary arts room at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Adults $6, children age 10 and under, $3. Included will be a raffle and a 50/50 drawing. This is a fund-raising event for the 19 students who qualified to attend the DECA National Competition. Sponsored by the DECA Students of OHCHS.
Turkey supper
PARIS – A roast turkey public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, East Main Street. There will be cake and ice cream for dessert. Adults $7; under 10, $3. Sponsored by V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Bean feed
WEST PARIS – A baked bean and casserole supper will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the West Paris Historical Society Hall. The menu will include homemade rolls and pies. Adults $6, Children under 12, $3. Sponsored by the West Paris Fire Department and Auxiliary.
