A variety of programs and services are planned for the holiday weekend.
WEST PARIS – A combined Maundy Thursday service for the East Sumner Congregational, West Paris Mission Congregational, North Paris Federated and West Paris Baptist churches will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the East Sumner church.

On Friday, April 9, there will be a combined Good Friday service for the four churches at 7 p.m. at the Mission Congregational Church in West Paris.

An Easter Cantata titled Because He Lives will be presented at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church on Perkins Valley Road in Woodstock by the Community for Christ Choir.

Sunrise services are scheduled Sunday, April 11, as follows:

• 6 a.m. for the East Sumner Congregational and Mission Congregational churches at the East Sumner church. It will be followed by breakfast at 7 a.m.

• 6:30 a.m. for the West Paris Baptist and North Paris Federated churches at the North Paris church. A continental breakfast will be served at North Paris at 7 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the West Paris at 7 a.m.

Easter services are: 8 a.m. North Paris Federated Church; 9:15 a.m. West Paris Baptist Church; 9 a.m. East Sumner Congregational Church; 11 a.m. West Paris Mission Congregational Church.

There will be no evening services at any of the churches.
