1946 – 2004
BOSTON – Gordon F. Stanley, 57, a resident of Federal Road, Livermore, died Wednesday, April 7, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital from complications with leukemia.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1946, in Livermore, the son of Clarence and Charlene Sutherland Stanley. He attended Livermore Falls High School. On Sept. 17, 1966, he married Doris Roy in Jay.
He was owner and operator of the Centerfire Gun Shop in Livermore for 22 years and had been employed as a millwright by International Paper Co. in Jay for 37 years, retiring in August of 2002. He was a member of the NRA and the I.P. Quarter Century Club.
He is survived by his wife of Livermore; his stepmother, Clara Stanley of Livermore; two sons, Troy of Rochester, N.H., and Scott of Washington, D.C.; one brother and his wife, Rodney and Marilyn Stanley of Salem; three sisters and their husbands, Paulette and Kermit Bryant of Jay, Judy and Richard Roy of Jay and Linda and Brian Beaulieu of Jay; four stepsisters, Cleo Roy, Erna White, Roberta Clough and Donna Guest. He will be missed by his grand-dog, Cheyenne.
