LEWISTON – Lydia S. Stelmok, 89, of Maple Hill Road, Auburn, died Thursday evening, April 8, at Marshwood Health Center after a long illness.

Born Dec. 23, 1914, in Lewiston the daughter of Vincent and Margaret Mason Stelmok. She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1933.

She had worked at Bates Mill, Advance Heel Co. and the former West Breeze Orchards retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Phillips Church and the First Auburn Seniors. She enjoyed going out to eat, playing cards, and doing puzzles.

She is survived by a brother, Anthony and his wife Helen with whom she made her home in Auburn; a niece and her husband, Linda and Les Bickford of Auburn; three nephews, Jerry Stelmok of Atkinson, Michael Dickinson of Auburn and Arnold and his wife Bertha Dickinson of Las Vegas, Nev.; several grandnieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her cat, “Kitty.”

She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Dickinson and Annie Hoch; and two brothers, John and Frank Stelmok.
