The unsolicited advice for John Kerry, as Jim Carignan writes in his “The Front Porch” column (April 4), sounds a whole lot like turning the country into a socialist state where the federal government runs the show: education, health care, infrastructure.
One of the current political ads by the Kerry campaign says that he will create 10 million new jobs. A socialistic government will sure help do that.
Carl Leubsdorf, in his column of April 4, says that “John Edwards is an obvious choice for the number one spot on the Democrat ticket.” I have heard Edwards say that he is not running for, nor would he accept, the vice presidential nomination. Now, what would a Kerry-Edwards ticket look like? Think about it.
