Poland Regional High School

The Knights Pride Booster Club needs help from parents and any other community members interested in helping with fundraising for Poland’s co-curricular activities. The booster club has expressed again and again that they need more help and more volunteers. The members of the booster club encourage citizens from the tri-towns to get involved with the Knights Pride booster club in order to ensure we have the top high school in the state.

Knights Pride is the single booster club, which supports all athletic and non-athletic co-curricular activities at PRHS. The booster club’s vision is to have all students, parents, and community members to participate in co-curriculars. The booster club is always looking for new members and new ideas. The meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Café at PRHS.

The booster club is working mainly at basketball games during the winter season. Jobs that need to be filled are concessions, which includes set-up, selling of food and clean up. Admissions, which is located at the main entrance to the gym, collects money from spectators and assists with clean up. Lastly, 50/50 seller and drawer: this person sells 50/50 tickets, draws the winning ticket and assists with clean up. All three of these jobs take place during the JV and Varsity games.

The booster club has provided many things for the student athletes of Poland. Last year the organization paid for the cheerleading squad to stay over night in Bangor the night before the State Competition. I know that without these accommodations, the squad would have had a very hectic time getting to Bangor for the event. It also gave the squad a chance to do some team building activities, and make them more confident for the big day.

The booster club needs help from you, parents, and other community members in order to be successful and provide for all co-curriculars PRHS gets students involved in.
