WENHAM, Mass. – Junior midfielder Amy Zerr netted seven goals on eight attempts as the Fighting Scots of Gordon College posted a 16-3 victory over the University of New England in women’s lacrosse action Tuesday.
The Fighting Scots improved their record to 4-1 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (4-4 overall), and stayed in second place, while the Nor’easters dropped to 2-3 in the CCC (2-6 overall).
Gordon was able to net the first goal, but first-year midfielder Lindsay Nance responded by converting a free possession shot for UNE. The Fighting Scots rallied for two more goals, and the Nor’easters were able to bring it with in one in the first 10 minutes of the game before junior Amy Zerr netted four of the final seven goals.
