FARMINGTON – Several awards were earned by SAD 9 students at the recent state Future Business Leaders of America Leadership Conference in Portland.

Nineteen members of the FBLA from Mount Blue High School and the Foster Regional Applied Technical Center earned seven distinguished awards for participation in competition.

First place winners were Amanda Parlin, economics; Lawrence Wilde, computer concepts and the local chapter for greatest increase in membership. Second place awards went to Amanda Parlin, computer concepts; Lawrence Wilde, networking concepts; and Aubrey Ramos, network design. Lilly Osborne received a third place for chapter activities display.

The students had an opportunity to attend information workshops and network with other clubs in the state.

The group was accompanied by the adviser, Priscilla A. Conner; Regina Voter and Therese Hersey.
