Two area softball tournaments are upcoming.
The Tri-Town Slow Pitch Softball League is sponsoring a slow pitch tourney, May 8 (and 9th if necessary) at the Mexico Rec Park and Peru Middle School. Entry fee is $125 per team. The tourney will start at 8 a.m. More information can be obtained by calling Larry Skillin at 562-8904 after 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and anytime on weekends. Entry deadline is May 5.
A benefit men’s softball tournament is scheduled May 14-16 at Bath Legion Field. The tourney will be held in memory of the late Kyle Fitzherbert, a Bath youth involved in sports. Team entry fee is $150. Teams can register by contacting Rodney Toothaker at 837-1043, or e-mail rtoothaker@hotmail.com. Registration ends May 1.
