GARDINER – Amanda Michaud and Kim Bechard had three hits apiece to lead Lewiston’s 16-hit attack to power the Blue Devils to a 25-6 triumph over Gardiner in KVAC softball action Friday.

Michaud also sparkled on the mound, striking out seven and walking two in her five-hit effort.

The Devils (2-0) erupted in the fifth inning for seven runs, including a string of doubles by Katie Morin, Ally Colman and Meagan Marcoux. Colman also had another double earlier in the third.

The Blue Devils then put the game away with 11 runs in the seventh inning.
Cony 6, Edward Little 3
AUGUSTA – Dee Gaslin blasted a pair of home runs to lift Cony to a 6-3 win over Edward Little in softball action Friday afternoon.

The Rams (2-0) jumped out to an early start when Gaslin hit a 3-run homer in the home half of the first inning. Gaslin put another pitch out of the ballpark for a 2-run blast for the final scoring volly in the fifth.

Alli Sasser singled in the third inning for the Red Eddies (0-1) to plate a pair of runs, before scoring on a single from Ally Keene. Jen Gallant contributed a double for Edward Little in the loss.
Lake Region 3, Poland 2
NAPLES – Carolyn Ellis walked and scored the winning run off an error in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Lake Region to a 3-2 victory over Poland Friday afternoon.

Mindy Thomas was the only repeat hitter for the Knights (3-1) and Kellie O’Conner fanned four and walked two.
Medomak 6, Oxf. Hills 3
WALDOBORO – Rachel Johnson belted a grand slam in the sixth inning to lead Medomak Valley in a 6-3 triumph over Oxford Hills.

The Vikings (2-1) scored first with a single run in the third, and the game remained close until the Panthers (2-0) scored all of their runs in the sixth.

Lauren Austin had a triple and Bailey Holloway added a pair of hits for the Vikings.

Johnson tallied three hits, while Alyson Ludwig and Kayla Winchenbach roped doubles for Medomak Valley.
