WEST PARIS – Wayne Kenneth Lawrence, 66, of West Paris died at his home Friday, April 16.
He was born in Lewiston on July 12, 1937, the son of Kenneth and Esther Heath Lawrence. He attended schools in Sumner and Buckfield. He was employed by the Maine Dept. of Transportation, retiring after 30 years in 1998. He also worked part time for Dave Everett at Everett Excavation.
In his younger years he was a member of the West Paris Fire Dept. He was a member of the Maine State Employees Association. He enjoyed bird and deer hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid race fan. He married the former Patricia Judd on Oct. 17, 1958.
He is survived by his wife of West Paris; a daughter, Judy Green and her husband Mitch of Norway; two grandsons, Tim Hilden and his fiance Marcie Parrott of Norway and Mickie Green and his wife Melissa of West Paris; a half-sister, Marjorie Bonney of South Paris; his father-in-law, Tom Judd Sr. of Livermore; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daugher, Rhonda; a half-brother, Henry Lawrence; and his mother-in-law, Nathalie Judd.
