WILTON – A public hearing on a proposed boat launching ordinance will be held during the regular selectmen’s meeting Tuesday. The ordinance, which would regulate boat launching at Wilson Lake, will be voted on at the annual town meeting in June. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Town Office.

Selectmen also expect to accept the resignation of Highway Foreman Ken Vining and make plans for his replacement. They will also consider appointing a new codes enforcement officer for the town; Brenda Medcoff resigned the position last month after serving the town for about three years.

In other business, Town Manager Peter Nielsen will provide selectmen with information on the Maine Municipal Association’s state tax cap initiative. Nielsen will also announce spring cleanup dates for the end of this month.

Selectmen will consider awarding a bid for asphalt mulch and open bids for the printing of the annual town report. Asphalt bids were opened during their last meeting. Nielsen will give his recommendations to selectmen Tuesday.

Officials will also open bids for the 2004 paving program and for a truck for the town. Those bid awards will be conditional on the approval of voters at the annual town meeting.

Selectmen will decide whether additional review of the proposed municipal budget is necessary before meeting with the town’s Finance Committee later this month.

They plan to meet with the committee Monday, April 26, and Tuesday, April 27. Each of those meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office.

Officials will hear a quarterly report from the Police Department.

They also plan to sign a liquor license renewal for Wilson Lake Country Club.
