WALES – Members of Lakeside Chapter 60, OES, held their annual meeting and election of officers on March 9.

Elected were: Worthy matron, Violet Gerber; worthy patron, Stanton Leighton; associate matron, Cynthia Holbrook; associate patron, Rodney Woodrum; secretary, Elizabeth Leighton; treasurer, Clarinda Andrews; conductress, Lucille Bauer; and associate conductress, Sonia Woodrum.

The worthy matron appointed the following: Chaplain, Yvonne Winslow; Adah, Ruth Wheeler; Ruth, Phyllis Hall; Esther, Doris Babbidge; Martha, Arlene Witherell; warder, Jordan Witherell; sentinel, Edward Webber.

Installation of officers will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Wales Masonic and Grange Hall.

Installing officers will be: Installing matron, Harriet Stretton; installing patron, William H. Stretton, worthy grand patron, Grand Chapter of Maine; installing marshal, Betty Perkins, Grand Martha; and installing chaplain, Josephine Dupal, district deputy grand matron, District 4

Members of the Order of the Eastern Star, Masons, friends and family are welcome.

Lakeside Chapter will hold the “Singing in the Rain” meeting to honor Bunker Hill Day at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13. There will be an umbrella parade.
