LIVERMORE FALLS – Selectmen will open their 6:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday with a public hearing, meeting in the library auditorium rather than at the municipal building. The hearing is scheduled to get public opinion on proposed ordinances that may go to the annual town meeting.

The Building Notification Ordinance would require a permit for: all new residential and commercial structures, the creation of one or more dwelling units within an existing structure, the reconstruction of an existing structure that changes the footprint and the relocation of an existing residential or commercial structure. The Pawnbrokers Ordinance would allow the municipality to grant licenses to conduct pawn transactions, rather than the state.

After the hearings, the board will review the comprehensive plan, consider abatement requests and discuss a Planning Board vacancy, the hours of the code officer and a joint meeting with SAD 36. They will also review the remaining accounts in the proposed budget that were not covered last week.
