LIVERMORE FALLS – Employees of RaNor Inc. in Jay will sponsor a benefit dance for two of their long-time co-workers from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, April 24, at Murray Hall.

The co-workers, Denis Ouellette of Lewiston and Alan Wayne Cote of Farmington, are both receiving medical treatments. Ouellette has been out of work since December battling an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the body. Cote has been battling throat cancer. Both work in RaNor’s fabrication shop.

Initially, donations were requested from other employees at the mechanical contracting firm. Employee Ray Cote, who moonlights as Moonlight Production in his spare time, offered to donate his time as a DJ if a dance were held. With the help of other local businesses, the dance has been planned and raffle items donated. Those items include: eight Red Sox tickets; two Busch race tickets for Loudon, N.H., in July; a gas grill; shop vacuums; tools; gift certificates; a weekend getaway to Williams Camps in Weld; a log cabin quilt; and a homemade afghan.

Dance tickets are $10 per person. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.

For more information, people can call the RaNor office from 7 to 5 p.m. at 645-5109 and ask for Pauline Boivin.
