JAY – The Frank L. Mitchell Post VFW 3335 and its Ladies Auxiliary will hold a public, flag changing ceremony at All Wars Monument at the POW-MIA Remembrance Bridge at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 22.

A casket-size American flag will be raised in honor of Cpl. Bernard L. Gray, an Army veteran who died in 1989. Two other flags will also be dedicated at the program.

POW-MIA Chairman John Dube said that the committee is in need of more casket-size flags to fly at the monument. If anyone desires to donate their loved one’s flag to be flown atop the yardarm at the bridge, people can contact him at 897-5335. Additional POW-MIA and Maine flags are also needed, he says.

The Post and Auxiliary invited the public to take part in this ceremony.
