FARMINGTON – Every Monday, Western Maine Transportation Services provides public bus transportation from Farmington to the Lewiston-Auburn area. The Monday run starts its public run at the Homestead Bakery on Broadway in Farmington. The established 10:30 a.m. start time will move up to 9 a.m.
The run has pickups in Wilton, Jay, Livermore Falls, Livermore and Turner. The bus makes demand stops for passengers in the Lewiston-Auburn area. The bus lays over for four hours before it returns to Farmington. The WMTS bus connects to the Citylink bus in Lewiston, the Lisbon Connection bus and Vermont Transit bus station.
A ride of up to 25 miles costs $2, 25 to 60 miles costs $4 and over 50 miles costs $5 one way. Seniors, disabled persons and children ages 5 to 11 ride for half fare. Reservations may be made by phoning WMTS at (800) 339-9687.
