Three of those injured in the two-vehicle crash were children.
WILTON – Four people, three of them children, were injured Wednesday when two vehicles collided at routes 2, 4 and 156.

Gloria Pierson, 28, of Wilton pulled out of Route 156 by Gould’s Service Station and drove across routes 2 and 4 and “failed to yield.” Her van was struck on the side by a vehicle operated by Pamela Hallett, 46, of Hyannis, Mass., said Wilton police Officer Terry Warren.

Pierson’s three children, Daniel, 2, Liana, 4, and Astra, 7, who were all in safety seats, were taken by ambulance to a Farmington hospital for observation and treatment, Warren said. Hallett was also treated, he said.

The accident remains under investigation, Warren said.

Wilton firefighters responded, as did police Chief James Parker, to assist with the accident.
