LEWISTON – Theresa A. Rioux, 79, of 80 Elm St., Mechanic Falls died Wednesday, April 21, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.
Born in Auburn Oct. 29, 1924, a daughter of Antonio and Viola Gauthier Lachance, she attended Auburn schools graduating from Edward Little High School in the Class of 1942. She was married to Onil R. Rioux who died Oct. 5, 1990.
Mrs. Rioux was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Parish, Covenant 50, Horizon 55, St. Mary’s Lifeline, VFW Frank Hullett Post 1603 Auxiliary and the AARP. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Jackie and her husband Yvan (Frenchy) Bolduc of Mechanic Falls who were her caregivers for the past 10 years, Patricia (Patsy) and her husband Mike Lessard of Auburn, Anita and her husband Rodney Hill of Minot; two sons and their spouses, Roger A. and wife Aleta of Hebron, Richard R. and wife Yvette of Poland; seven grandchildren, Rodney and Heather Hill, Kate Hill, Allyson Hill, Roger and Lisa Rioux, Melissa Rioux, Amanda Rioux and Travis Rioux; a great-granddaughter, Carly Rioux; two sisters, Mrs. Angelo (Cecile) Pilla of West Alexander, Pa., Mrs. Patrick (Frances) Riel of No. Franklin, Conn.
She was predeceased by a brother, Regis Lachance.
