SOUTH PARIS – Quartets from the Mollyockett Chorus will participate in the annual Friends & Family Night Tuesday, May 4, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Director Pat Fleck of Bridgton sings lead with the Fancy That quartet. Other singers who will join her are Rose Fredericks, baritone, of Lewiston; Deb Nichols, bass, of Oxford; and Deb Luxton, tenor, of Bethel. Fancy That has performed at various community functions in the Oxford Hills area, entertained at local nursing homes and sung at several area churches.

A newly organized quartet, Four On A Match, will also take part in the Friends and Family Night program. Members of this group are Alda Reynolds of Auburn, lead singer; Darlene Glover, tenor, of South Paris; Suzanne Bartlett, bass, of Bethel; and Rose Fredericks, baritone, of Lewiston. Four On A Match specializes in songs that popular during the ’40s and ’50s. The quartet has performed at VFW and American Legion functions and at worship services at several churches in Androscoggin and Oxford counties.

The third quartet, Meant To Be, has been singing for two seasons and competed in the Region One Quartet Competition in Springfield, Mass., in 2003. Members of this ensemble are Jessica Church, lead; Bonme Fox, bass; Jan Ward, tenor; and Michelle Cooper, baritone. Joining the quartet at Friends & Family Night will be Nancy Fox, baritone. She will fill in for Cooper whois expecting her first child in May.

Thc public is invited to attend the Friends & Family Night program, a full dress rehearsal in preparation for the Sweet Adelines Competition for Region One to be held May 7-8 in Springfield, Mass. Friends & Family Night will begin at 7:30 p.m.
