AUBURN – Edward Little’s Christie Sasser had two hits and three RBIs, including the game-winning run in the eighth as the Red Eddies beat Gardiner 4-3 in varsity softball action on Friday.

Cathy Allen was the starting pitcher for the Tigers (1-5) and gave up eight hits. Nicole Wotherspoon had two hits for Edward Little (1-4).

Leavitt 4, Waterville 0

WATERVILLE – Sam St. Hilaire pitched a complete game two-hit shutout to lead Leavitt to a 4-0 victory over Waterville.

St. Hilaire also hit a triple and a home run for the Hornets (5-1). Crystle Trafton started the game for Waterville.

Madison 6, Mt. Abram 3

SALEM – Stephanie Vigue singled in Tannis McCourt for the game-winning run in the sixth inning as Madison beats Mt. Abram 6-3 in varsity softabll action on Friday.

Mt. Abram’s (1-1) Ashley Dalessandro had two hits and a triple. Sarah Smith started the game and got the win for Madison (1-1).

Messalonskee 8 Oxford Hills 0

OXFORD – Claris Pepper went the distance giving up just one hit as Messalonskee slammed Oxford Hills 8-0 in a varsity softball match up.

Ciara Corbett had four hits and a double for Messalonskee (4-0). Oxford Hills’ (6-2) Randi Arsenault got the loss.

Winslow 7, Oak Hill 0

WALES – Janelle Sylvester tossed a complete game as Winslow danced to a 7-0 shutout victory over Oak Hill in softball action Friday.

Amanda Shorette recorded a double and Courtney Davis a triple to lead the Black Raiders (3-0) in the winning effort.

Danielle Sargent, who took the loss on the mound for the Raiders (2-1), managed a 3-for-3 day at the plate.

Jill Lizotte had a double and a single in three at bats for Oak Hill.
