David Kell scores the game’s only run in a 1-0 Lewiston victory.

LEWISTON – Lewiston’s David Kell reached on a fielders choice, stole second and then Luke Potter singled him in for the game-winning run as the Blue Devils beat Lawrence 1-0 in varsity baseball action.

Nick Langlais pitched a complete game three-hit shutout for Lewiston (2-4). Craig Nadeau hit a double and had two hits for Lawrence (3-3).

Leavitt 14, Waterville 3

WATERVILLE – Leavitt scored 10 runs in the fourth inning Friday to beat Waterville 14-3 in a five inning KVAC baseball game.

Tony Pirruccelo led the Hornets with three hits and two RBI. Brandon Smith also drove in two and allowed just four hits. Dustin Schrepper had two hits for the Hornets.

Gardiner 7, Edward Little 3

AUBURN – Gardiner’s Nate Munzing went 1-for-4 with an RBI as the Tigers beat Edward Little 7-3 in a varsity baseball match up on Friday.

Derek Doucette had two hits and two RBI for the Red Eddies (1-4). Edward Little comitted eight errors which gave Gardner (3-2) six runs.

Oxford Hills 5, Messalonskee 0

OXFORD – Joe Baker pitched a complete game two-hit shutout to lead Oxford Hills to a 5-0 victory over Messalonskee.

Corey Tielinen went 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs for the Vikings (6-0). Messalonskee started the game with R.J. Moore and he was relieved by Josh Brook in the sixth.

Mt. Blue 11, Morse 10

FARMINGTON – Jake Hardy’s RBI single, Mt. Blue’s third consecutive hit with one out in the seventh inning, brought home Brian Wells with the winning run to give the Cougars an 11-10 victory over Morse.

The Cougars (4-1) had rallied to tie the game at 10-10 on Chris Silva’s two-out single in the sixth.

After Mt. Blue took a 5-0 lead in the first, the Shipbuilders (1-3) answered with six runs in the second before the Cougars regained the lead with four more runs in the bottom half of the second.

Morse pecked away at three Mt. Blue hurlers before starter Wells re-entered despite a blister and shut the door.

Hardy and Alex Martin led Mt. Blue’s 15-hit attack with three hits apiece.

Jay 10, Dirigo 0

JAY – Jay’s Ryan Dipompo piched a complete game shutout and also hit a two-run homer as Jay pounded Dirigo 10-0 Friday.

Dirigo (0-2) recieved two hits from Craig Langervin. Jake Turner had two hits for Jay (3-0).
