BETHEL – Planners are to continue work on two subdivision applications at their meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, in the town office.
Savage Land Development L.L.C.’s projects are Birch Woods Subdivision, a 29-lot subdivision off Mayville Road or Route 2, and Countryside Acres on East Bethel Road.
At the board’s previous meeting, planners and brothers Ron and Rick Savage, and their consultant, Darryl Brown of Main-Land Development Inc. of Livermore Falls, worked through issues such as fire protection and storm water management for the Birch Woods project.
Storm water management and fire protection issues also tied up the Savage brothers’ other proposed subdivision, Countryside Acres, but planners found its preliminary application plan complete.
A site walk has been scheduled for planners to view the Countryside Acres lots at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 28. A public hearing has been set for 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, in the town office.
Other action at this Wednesday night’s meeting includes a site plan application for the Bethel Ambulance barn expansion project on Main Street, and a sign application for Rocky Freda’s Sun Valley Sports and Orvis business at 22 Parkway.
Other agenda topics include the subdivision finding of fact form, a proposed amendment to the subdivision ordinance for fire protection provision, and an update on proposed shoreland zoning map and ordinance revisions.
Prior to the meeting, at 6:30 p.m., the Sign Committee is to address Freda’s sign application.
