What arrogance. President Bush won’t admit to making mistakes.
Just recently, 17 children were killed in Saudi Arabia, and more than 100 troops have been killed this month.
Bush says it’s worth it, it’s a noble cause, we want to democratize Iraq. Does he really think Iraq wants to be democratized?
He says he is prepared for casualties. Sure, as long as it isn’t one of his.
He says we have an obligation to feed the hungry in Iraq. How about feeding America’s 14 million hungry children? About 760,000 jobs went to China, now Bush wants his CEO buddies to eliminate overtime pay. He says people are getting jobs, but doesn’t say those jobs pay much less than people were earning. People are taking part-time jobs because they can’t find full-time jobs.
This administration is the most corrupt, secretive administration in American history. Supreme Court Justice Scalia won’t recuse himself from investigating Vice President Cheney’s secretive energy meetings, yet Republicans want Sept. 11 Commissioner Gorelick to step down.
As far as Republicans are concerned, they are right and everyone else wrong. It’s time for them to care about the American people and stop lying about the budget, our humongous deficit, and stop telling us that we are un-American if we disagree with Bush.
After all, Cheney and his cohorts never wore the uniform of the United States of America, and Bush wore one defending Texas while some poor kid took his place in Vietnam.
