BERLIN, N.H. – Therese (Rene) Poisson, 82, formerly of 20 Smith St., Berlin, N.H., passed away Monday, April 26, at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home where she had been residing for the past two months.

She was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Montreal, PQ, Canada, the daughter of Rosario and Celina Poisson Rene.

A resident of the area since 1949, Mrs. Poisson was a member of St. Anne Parish, now know as Good Shepherd Parish.

She was a homemaker who was a member of the Holiday Center, the Ladies of St. Anne, the St. Anne Social Club, the Golden Age Club, and M.E.S.H. She was a volunteer at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital, and also at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.

She is proud of the fact that she became a Naturalized American Citizen. She greatly enjoyed crafts, knitting, and sewing.

Her husband, Paul Poisson died May 26, 1987.

She is survived by her son, Robert Poisson of Milan, N.H.; many nieces and nephews; and several grand-nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a brother, Maurice Rene; and a sister, Jeanne Roy.
