AUBURN – Scott Knapp, president of Central Maine Community College, has named three leaders of business and the community to serve as executives-in-residence for 2004. They are Anne Craigs of the Employment Times, John Isaacson of Lee Auto Malls and Matt McKnight of the Lewiston MAINEiacs Hockey Team.
Craigs is co-owner of The Employment Times, a weekly publication dedicated to help-wanted advertising that is free to the public online and in print in Maine and New Hampshire. She was formerly senior vice president of retail banking at Androscoggin Bank until 1999. Craigs has been chair of the Board of Directors of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce and still serves on the board. She is also past president of the Lewiston Mill Redevelopment Corp. Board of Directors and of Junior Achievement. She is a past member of the Board of St. Dominic Regional High School and is currently a member of the Board of Vineyard Christian School. Craigs is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership studies at the University of Southern Maine at Lewiston-Auburn.
Isaacson is a partner and serves as chief executive officer of Lee Auto Malls, the largest automobile retailer in Maine. He is also CEO of Maine Auto Credit, a finance company licensed in Maine to provide automobile loans to residents of the southern and central parts of the state. Isaacson joined Lee Auto Malls as a salesperson after graduating cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1984. He was born and raised in Lewiston, where his family has lived since the 1890s. He serves as board chair of Sisters of Charity Health System in Lewiston, and is a member of the Board of Directors Greater Atlantic Insurance Co.
McKnight has been the vice president and governor of the Lewiston MAINEiacs Hockey Club since 2002. He has been involved with hockey operations since 1994 when he became marketing director, and then business director, for the Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club. He served as marketing chairman for the 2000 MasterCard Memorial Cup and since 2000 has been the president and owner of McKnight & Associates Inc. of Halifax. He holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation from Dalhousie University in Halifax.
