POLAND – A Naples man killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Route 11 Thursday was identified Friday as 21-year-old Christopher Babbitt.

Investigators said Babbitt was driving his Honda too fast near the Casco town line when he skidded out of control and struck a mailbox and tree.

Babbitt was dead when police and rescue officials arrived at the scene of the 7:30 a.m. wreck.

No one else was hurt in the crash.
