LEWISTON – Neighbors and the public will get their first look at new Plourde Office Park buildings Wednesday.
Developer Dave Gendron hopes to build two 30,000 square-foot buildings on the first two lots at the southeastern corner of Plourde Parkway and Discovery Drive. Gendron’s crews are currently paving Discovery Drive, which should open the 46-acre park across from Wal-Mart’s planned distribution center for future development.
“There are no tenants planned there at this point,” said Lincoln Jeffers, city economic and community development deputy director. The new buildings would be used to bring in prospective buyers later on.
Gendron and the city will unveil the site plan to neighbors at a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Lewiston City Hall.
Plans are scheduled to go to the Lewiston Planning Board on May 24.
The new park is being designed for businesses similar to the ones in the South Lewiston Industrial Park. The property is divided up into seven lots ranging from four to 16 acres, with room for buildings of up to 100,000 square feet.
Work on the first two buildings is tentatively scheduled to begin this summer.
