LEWISTON – Wilfred J. Levesque, 87, of 81 Howe St., Auburn, died Sunday evening, May 2, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

Born in Auburn Sept. 2, 1916, the son of Joseph and Zemerie Blanchette Levesque. He attended Auburn schools. He later served in the Army during World War II.

On April 17, 1970, he married Emma Bucklin. She died on April 3, 2003. He worked for R.J. Morin Painters as a painter until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and the American Legion Post 22. He enjoyed gardening, dancing, and going out to eat.

Survivors include two daughters, Geneva Fears of Victor, N.Y., Carolyn Douglas of Auburn; grandchildren, Thomas Fears and his wife Amy of Holly, N.Y., John Fears of Falls Church, Va., Ann Graham and her companion Gary of Punta Gorda, Fla., David McEachern and his companion Judy Merced of Sabattus, Christopher McEachern and his companion Wendy of Port Lucy, Fla., James Douglas of Lewiston, and Tracy Collins and her husband Tim of Lewiston; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leo Levesque of Lewiston.
