Your gone and yet I miss you,
Your face is painted on my mind.
I can still see your eyes of pride and joy;
You always wanted to be a hero,
Now you are the hero – will you please come home?
Dear soldier boy Roger,
I miss you and love you lots.
I look at the stars and call your name,
But I get no reply.
Are you still alive?
I write and write letters and yet still no reply,
Just like me calling for you and you are in front of me,
But you don’t know that I am.
When will my soldier boy Roger come home
Only time can tell when you’ll be home.
