Tom McGary, left, and Mike Morin install the canopies at Festival Plaza in Auburn Wednesday afternoon. The new canopies were made by Rockland artist Charles Duvall at no charge to the city. The blue, yellow and red fabric is new material from Australia and will not fade like the canopies that covered the plaza last year. Because of windy conditions, crews did not attempt to put up the red canopy Wednesday. McGary works for McDonald Duvall Design and Morin is the arborist for Auburn Public Works.
