PARIS – The Fare Share Follies will be Friday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School auditorium in South Paris.

The variety show will spotlight the talents of area professional performers, including mime-dancer Karen Hurll Montanaro, Maine humorist Joe Perham, dancer Debi Irons, singer-songwriter Leah Wolfsong with Rei Cortez, performer Rick Adam, musicians/vocal artists Jewel Clark and Donnie Katlin, and mime-storyteller Antonio Rocha. Follies producer Alan Day said there also will be a last-minute surprise or two involving mystery guests.

The Follies were inaugurated three years ago to help raise funds for Norway’s Fare Share Co-op’s move and expansion from Tannery Street to Main Street. It became an annual event as a celebration of the community’s creative talents, as well as an enjoyable way to support the growth of Fare Share. As in the past, at intermission, co-op volunteers and staff will sell snacks and drinks from their wide variety of natural and organic foods.

Besides the show, the evening will present final opportunities to view and bid on the silent auction items offered by Fare Share members and supporters. These include jewelry, massage therapy, food products, and fine arts and crafts.

Tickets for the Fare Share Follies will be available at the door or in advance at Fare Share Market, 443 Main St. The market is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 10 to 7 and Saturdays from 10 to 4.

Tickets: $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the Fare Share Co-operative. FMI: call 743-0165 or 743-9808.
