PORTLAND – The Maximum Velocity stunt team’s “Twisted Tricks” tour 2004 will be hitting the stage at the Cumberland County Civic Center for a 7 p.m. show on Saturday, May 8. They will be accompanied by two bands: Portland’s own Every Forty Seconds and Boston’s Lost City Angels.

Along with their half-pipe, Maximum Velocity has expanded its street course for an action-packed, two-hour show. The action sports athletes and bands will bring the audience the thrill of extreme sports combined with live music. More information about the stunt team is at www.mvst.com.

That Web site says that the team, founded in 1995, was based on combining “the thrills of freestyle bicycle stunt work with the daredevil antics of the emerging extremists of in-line skating.”

Advance tickets: $12.50, $10; day of show: $15, $12.50.
