AUBURN – The American Red Cross Save A Life Mobile Museum will be at the Auburn Mall from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 8.

The museum is a 50-foot tractor-trailer that houses interactive exhibits and is designed to raise public awareness about the need for regular blood donations.

The visit is part of the Save A Life Tour 2003, which consisted of two convoys that traveled more than 33,000 miles, visited more than 300 communities and was visited by more than 38,000 people from coast to coast over the past seven months.

Eric Lynes of the American Red Cross Blood Services visited the museum at Foxboro Stadium in Massachusetts.

“It was a very high-tech, interactive, user-friendly, educational and motivating experience,” Lynes said. “You’ll be able to record your own video testimonial, take a digital photo of yourself, send e-postcards to friends and family, and more.”

The museum will be at the Auburn Mall parking lot this Saturday in conjunction with the American Red Cross blood drive. For more information, call the Red Cross at 1-800-462-9400 or visit www.newenglandblood.org/news/salt.htm or www.givelife2.org/news.
