LEWISTON – Antoinette Payeur, 84, formerly of Pleasant St. in Lewiston, died Monday morning, May 10, at the Marshwood Health Care Facility.
She was born in Saint Quentin, N.B., Jan. 14, 1920, a daughter of Joseph and Hedwidge (Bourgoin) Lagasse and was educated in the schools of Frenchville.
On June 28, 1968, she married Louis M. Payeur who passed away Aug. 21, 2003. While spending many years in this community she first worked in local shoe shops and later spent several years at Maine Electronics in Lisbon until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Lewiston Senior Citizens and St. Patrick’s Parish Rosary Sodality.
She leaves a sister-in-law, Gertrude Payeur of Island Pond, Vt.; and a dear friend, Hilda Foss of Lewiston.
