RUMFORD – Robert A “Hector” Heath, 50, of Swett Avenue, Mexico died unexpectedly Sunday, May 9, at Rumford Community Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1953, in Rumford, and was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School, class of 1972.

He was employed for over 30 years with Mead Westvaco Corp.

“Hector” was a member of Aerie 1248 Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Rumford Lodge of Elks 862.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family and many friends. He was also an avid sports fan and NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his mother, Idella Heath of Rumford; one son, Robert J. “Rob” Heath of Mexico; five sisters, Carlene Dupruis and husband Marc of Mexico, Margaret St. Cyr of Dixfield, Dolores Fourcaudot and husband Louis of Madison, Joyce Heath of So. Carolina, and Janet Heath of Rumford; three brothers, Richard Heath of Oxford, Rendell Heath and his wife Barbara of Rumford and Roger Heath of Mexico; a mother-in-law, Phyllis Bedard of Oxford; and many nieces and nephews.
