LARGO, Fla. – Rita A. Jervis, 77, of Largo, Fla., died Wednesday, April 28, at Largo Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 25, 1926, in Mexico, the daughter of J. Adolph Martin and Eva Legere Martin. She moved to Largo in 1994 from Portland. She was a social worker for 10 years working for the state of Maine in Lewiston. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Largo.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Donald Jervis; a daughter, Donna Jervis of Norwood, Mass.; a son, David Jervis of Largo, Fla.; sisters, Lumina Mahoney and husband Tom of Lewiston, Leona Gurschick and husband Walter of Hermon; brothers, Joseph (Bob) Martin and wife Sally of Cape Cod, Mass., Adolph Martin and wife Myrna of North Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Roland Martin; three sisters, Ida Martin, Irene Martin Zardiackas, and Theresa Martin Mattison.
